A group of York Oratory parishioners, with Br Thomas and Fr Daniel, immensely enjoyed participating in the festa for St Publius, at Floriana, Malta GC.
St Publius was governor of Malta when St Paul was shipwrecked. Acts 28 tells us that Paul healed Publius’s father. Publius was converted, became first Bishop of Malta, then Bishop of Athens, where he was martyred by being thrown to the lions, around 125 AD.
