Fr Richard took a group of students to Lincoln Prison, now a museum. He was much struck by the layout of the old prison chapel in which every prisoner was isolated and forced to fix his gaze on the preacher. He tried out a fire and brimstone Victorian sermon, but probably didn’t manage to convert anyone!
